WORKSHOP I
Prayer and Biblical Telling
Saturday, March 22/25 - 9am (pacific)
Biblical Telling and Prayer
As biblical storytellers, we set out to embody one side of a conversation. We bring what God has chosen to speak to his people through the written word, spoken in turn to the communities of which we are a part. One way to understand prayer is as our side of the conversation, formed in response to what God has already communicated to us.
In this workshop, we will explore the interplay of Biblical Storytelling with prayer – in both our personal lives as we internalize scripture as well as the communities for whom we learn – through the practice of spiritual disciplines such as lectio divina and praying the scriptures.
