Biblical Telling 101 - for new tellers!
with Linnea Good
Learning biblical stories and wisdom sayings is a way of going deeper with the Word, of listening more fully to God, of delighting in the insights that come with repetition, of discovering the attention that is given when you say to someone: “Can I tell you a story?” Linnea Good offers a method for “by-hearting” that takes the teller far beyond memorizing, into practices that increase memory and allow us to draw on our own learning and remembering styles.
Our workshop will hold prayer and reflection, and offer ample time to marinate in the Word through telling. You will learn methods of enhancing your memory for the flow of story, identify ways in which the ancients left “clues” for the remembering of their words, and receive encouragement and coaching. A portion of our by-hearting time will be “walked”, and so we look forward to time in solo practice as well as with one another.
