Who Am I Now
Adding a little Character to Your Biblical Storytelling
with Randy Ritz
Saturday, April 18/26 - 9-10:30am (pacific)

Scripture passages can include a variety of characters … and sometimes they speak. How is the ‘narrator’ voice different from the ‘character’ voice? How would you portray Elijah challenging the Prophets of Baal? Or how would you portray ‘the Women at the Well’ and speak as Jesus?
Learn how to:
• Acquire a Performance Persona rather than a full character
• Determine a character attitude by way of historical or contextual study and then reflect this attitude in your voice.
• Use eye placement to establish your narrator voice and then eye placement to move between narrator and dramatic characters
• Draw the audience into the world of the story and lead them to ‘see’ the biblical images.
Bring personality to your performance in this workshop with Dr Ritz
