Bring Your Story to Life
Pacing, Emotional Tension, Revealing Character
with Ruth Stewart-Verger
Saturday, June 13/26 - 9-10:30am (pacific)
Participants will explore rhythm and pacing, image building, emotional tension and character revelation as aspects emerging innately from the whole. We will look at story path, triggering memories in your listeners to connect to the story, choice of wording and phrasing, and how to slowly reveal your character.
Participants are invited to bring a story that they are currently working on (or plan to work on). We will run through activities in break-out rooms, test ideas, and bring back our observations to the larger group. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a fresh approach to their story.
